Art Wynwood 2015

Happy belated Valentine's Day!

I spent Valentine's Day with my parents down in Miami at Art Wynwood.
Art Wynwood is this magnificent 5 day festival down in Miami that features a ton of contemporary art. Wynwood is this awesome growing arts district in Miami, mainly famous for its Wynwood Walls. I haven't actually ever seen them though. I do plan on making a day trip out of it one day maybe with my bestie.

Anyway, Art Wynwood was held under a ginormous tent. I'm talking huge! And it was filled to the brim with art: sculptures, wall art, paintings, fashion. You name it, it was there. A bunch of the local art galleries were there showcasing some of the work they have and they were selling some. It was really breathtaking. I don't think I would have gone except my dad had two complementary tickets so we only needed to pay for the third.

I was surrounded by some of the most beautiful pieces of artwork I've ever seen. And I who knows if I'll ever get to see it again. And you could get right up close to them, no ropes, nothing. Just you and the art. And they let you take pictures of the work, which some places don't, so that was an added bonus. All the work was amazing, and I don't think I can think of a better way to have spent my Saturday, and my Valentine's Day.

I hope your Valentine's Day was amazing as well. Whether you're in a relationship or not always remember to love yourself first. You will always be the most important person in your life and you should treat yourself as such. Love yourself and friends and family. And remember to show your loved ones that you love them. Not just on Valentine's Day but on everyday.
Cheers xo

Valentine's Revised

Happy Wednesday!

Shirt// Vintage
Bustier// Forever 21
Jeans// Urban Planet
Shoes// Goodwill
Rings// Vintage
Clutch// TJ Maxx
Hat// Forever 21

I've never really been big on Valentines Day. I think it's too commercialized and unnecessary. If you love someone you should love them everyday of the year and show it. You shouldn't need to glorify one day out the year to show someone how much you care about them. And I was never big on pink lol.

That being said, I did think it would be fun to put together a "Valentine's Day" outfit. The pink lace shirt has just the right amount of frills. And to counter the sweetness of the shirt I paired it with some black high-waisted skinnys and my favourite sneaker heels for added oomph. The creme and polka dot clutch gives the look a sort of twist, and it's super cute. My scent of choice is the Victoria Secret Bombshell body mist which I bought at the Semi-Annual sale this year. And I recommend reading "To The Boy's I've Loved Before" by Jenny Han. It's actually one of current reads and so far I'm really enjoying it!

And did you notice the beautiful baby orchids? They're growing in a pot in my backyard. They're just so pretty!! I thought they fit well the whole Valentine's Day theme. I think the next couple of posts may also be Valentine's Day related. I think I can come up with a few more Valentine's Day revised outfits.

Hope you all had a great Wednesday! And chins up, it's almost the weekend!!
Cheers xo

Back At It

Oh hey there!
I know it's been a terribly long time since I've posted anything. Here are some pics of the past month.

I'm not going to make excuses I'll just simply explain. I knew it would be hard getting into a groove when school started up again. I just let it hinder me. It was difficult finding time to shoot outfits. And I fell into this funk were I didn't want to take pictures, I didn't even want to put together cute outfits. I was content just slumming it everyday. A.K.A I just wore a big sweater everyday.

But I'm coming out of that now. And the first step is starting to blog again. I think it's important to know that everyone falls off of the wagon every now and then. What's really important is getting back up and dusting yourself off. That's what I'm doing right now, dusting myself off. I still have all the same goals and I still think this will be a year of big changes. Falling down is good but it makes getting up even better. Just some food for thought.
Cheers xo
