A Gino's Walk Around

A bit of a random Chicago post this will be. For the majority of these Chicago posts I've focused on the major events that took place during my trip. But there were smaller moments and snapshots that I took that don't really seem to fit into any one post. So I've decided to lump them all here. These are the random bits of my trip that loved.
Saw this sign while we walked around Water Tower Place for a bit to stay out of the rain. I love Willy Wonka soooo much!!
Friday was a bit of soggy day.
After the MCA Chicago we had lunch/dinner at the famous Gino's East. My mom used to come here for pizza back in the 70's when she was a teenager with my auntie and their friends. Regrettably, I never got a pic of our deep dish pizza because I ate it too quickly! I also bought my own beer, brewed in Chicago, a pale ale which is not my favourite but was lovely with my pizza. Being 21 is awesome.
A trip to Chi-town is never complete unless I buy my weight in Polish Chocolates from the only place in the world that I ever would, Produce World. And you better believe that I indeed bought my weight in chocolate. I spent a whopping 15 dollars on chocolate and I regret nothing.
A bit random but i loved the way the Burberry building looked, it's actually goals. And I've always had a deep love for fire escapes.
So there you go, a small collection of random photos that really had no where else to go.

Mail Call: Revive VoxBox

Mail Call!

Another month, another Influenster Voxbox, another very excited Juju!
Introducing the Revive VoxBox!
All products were sent to me complementary for testing purposes. If you're interested in learning more about Influenster go on and click the link!
I had no idea what to expect from this box and was so excited to see it all centered around reviving me health. Summer lends itself wonderfully to health and fitness, everyone wants that beach bod. For me however, Autumn is my revive month. And with school starting up in two weeks I've deemed August pre-fall month. So this revive box is going to be perfect for pre-fall.
First thing first are these sample sizes of SheaMoisture Fruit Fusion Coconut Water Weightless Shampoo and Creme Rinse. Normally I'm very weary of trying new shampoos and conditioners, my curly mane has a mind of it's own and it's a picky one. But these look like they might be amazing. The shampoo is sulfate-free and both contain Shea Butter, Coconut Water, Dragon Fruit, Green Apple, and Lychee Berry. Not gonna lie, it's the Lychee Berry that sold me. I had to do a full report on them for my Botany class last semester and I have I personal love of those cute, little berries.
Overall, I'm pretty excited to try this new combo. My only reserve is that the sample sizes are kinda small and I have a mass of hair that requires way too much product! Lol.
Next up are these adorable little SnackWell's Biscuit Thins that I actually can't wait to dunk into my morning coffee. These little thins actually come in three different coffee flavours: Caramel Macchiato, French Vanilla Latte, and Dark Chocolate Mocha. I'm not normally a a fan of thin cookies or biscuits. I like them thick and soft, like fresh-baked-practically-raw-batter soft. But I think these biscuit thins will be perfect with cup of hot coffee in the mornings.
Next up was a Vitamin Shoppe Protein Powder Pack and a BODYTECH water bottle. I'm not gonna lie, I have no clue in hell in what to do with protein powders. I am not an athlete in any way and I don't understand supplements and powders and things of that nature. However, I will figure out what to do with them because the flavours sound delicious. The Next Step protein powder is Cookies 'n Cream, the BodyTech is Strawberries & Cream, and the Plant Protein is Vanilla. And they came with a water bottle! So of course I'm going to have to try and make them and I'll probably just drink them in bed. (The exact opposite of anything athletic lol)
Last but not least was a Brew & Renew coffee pod trio.
This trio excited me the absolute most when I opened up the box! Anyone that gives me coffee has a gold star in my book. The three coffee pods are Hills Bros 100% Colombian Medium Roast, Chock Full 'O Nuts Midtown Manhattan Medium Roast, and Kauai Coffee Garden Isle Medium Roast. For someone who doesn't even have a K-Cup brewer I'm absolutely stoked about trying these out. I'll have to borrow my sister's K-Cup brewer because I desperately need these in my life. It wasn't just the coffee that got me stoked though, these cups are made of 100% certified compostable materials. When you're done with the cups they can go into the ground and in 100 days they become nutrients for the soil.
I'm a HUGE fan of products that are eco-friendly and sustainably made and I'm trying to make changes in my life to be more sustainable. These little pods are just so cute and I really hope they taste as well as they look. I can't wait to try them and let you know how they go!

Overall this looks like it's going to be a very exciting VoxBox and I can't wait too update you on how they all fair. Don't forget to head on over to Pintrest and check out my Revive VoxBox Board for my personal revive inspiration!
